I certainly think a 5 year old can listen to it, but it is not the usual fare and I found that mini recaps of the action before we began each reading session to be extra-helpful. Even the font is "fancified." I do, however, recommend it for more experienced listeners. Reading quickly allows no time for the reader to use vocal. This is really fun to read aloud because of the fantastical vocabulary and the rhyming couplets. Slow down enough for the children to see the pictures in the book without feeling hurried. In Spud, however, things are a bit different and when Puggly of Spud and Frannie of Spiff meet up they set out to teach the others a thing or two about what is really important. Well, almost everyone - the Princess prefers pajamas. The premise is wonderfully silly: in the Kingdom of Spiff everyone is obsessed with fashion, and ridiculously elaborate fashion at that. This delightful novel is written entirely in verse. Prince Puggly of Spud and the Kingdom of Spiff

They have nothing, have no one but us, have seemingly no reason to be hopeful…yet they are. No one is more aware of themselves as these children are. It’s not because they’ve got things to do, though I’m sure there are a few assholes who think like that, either because they repeated the folly so often they learned to bury the guilt or because they didn’t have a conscience to begin with but, truthfully, it’s because they can’t stand to look at the reason they feel a hole in their chest. We are specifically interested in agent coordination mechanisms based on stigmergic principles. Following the vision of hypermedia MAS and Linked Systems, we propose to use a value-passing fragment of Milner’s Calculus to formally specify the generic hypermedia-driven behaviour of Linked Data agents and the Web as their embedding environment. The four children, who all happen to be alone in the world, are escorted to the residence of one Mr. As a result, only four children pass the tests: Reynie, George "Sticky" Washington, Kate Wetherall, and Constance Contraire. The tests are weird and appear to go far beyond typical multiple-choice exams, testing not just for standard intelligence but for specific character traits as well: honesty, kindness, desire to help others, and, curiously, a dislike of radio and television in general. Just so happens that when Reynie answers these questions, the answers are yes and yes. Reynie Muldoon is living the dream: he's spending a weekend day taking tests.
